TTailScope

A clear path when you need help.

Start with the local demo, then connect your own Tailnet when you are ready. TailScope keeps the server's permissions and errors visible so troubleshooting has a useful starting point.

Start without credentials

Open TailScope and choose the local demo. The demo uses fictional data and is the safest way to explore the dashboard, device detail, administration center, Policy Studio, and Pro workflow.

Connect a live Tailnet

Use your own Tailscale API Access Token or OAuth Client credentials. The official API base URL is built in; the app does not ask you to enter a custom API domain. Use the narrowest scopes that fit your work.

When a feature is unavailable

A capability may be limited by the credential scope, account role, Tailscale plan, rate limit, or service state. TailScope treats the service response as the source of truth and distinguishes those cases from an empty result.

Writing safely

Management changes show an impact summary before submission. Deleting a device or immediately expiring a key requires a second confirmation. Policy saves use validation and ETag conflict protection; a conflict asks you to reload and compare instead of silently overwriting another administrator's change.

Privacy and security

Never send a token, OAuth client secret, auth key, complete API response, or unredacted screenshot in a support request. Redact device names, addresses, Tailnet identifiers, request IDs, and user information before sharing diagnostics.
